The National Cancer Research Institute is a partnership of UK cancer research funders, and their Partners have funded more than £4.5bn of cancer research since 2002.

The NCRI has collated useful information for surgeons to undertake research, which although is cancer focused is not limited to only cancer. The NCRI's surgical research in cancer page is a useful tool for those interested in some of the problems faced by surgical researchers, and how these problems can be resolved.
