On Wednesday 11th March 2015, SITU attended the BRC Open Day at the Martin School, Oxford, as part of the BRC's Open Weeks initiative.

The BRC brings together the research expertise of the University of Oxford, the clinical skills of staff of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust and the experiences of patients to improve healthcare. The Open Days that the BRC runs are intended to give members of the public and patients the opportunity to find out more about the research that is being done in and around Oxford.

SITU was well represented at the event, with Prasanna Sooriakumaran speaking on behalf of Professor Freddie Hamdy about a new CRUK funded study that will aim to use imaging to improve the outcomes of surgical interventions. Surjeet Singh, SITU Clinical Trials Manager gave a talk on the work that SITU does, and how it interacts with patients and the public.
